I would be very happy to organise another such event as the first thing the Bardney Flyers Chairman said to me was, "When do you want to organise another one"
Obviously I would like to be there but as some of you know I work in Afghanistan so my time is limited back home.
It would be rather nice for a mini meet at the end of August/beginning of September when I am home. I have a large grass field walking distance from my bungalow in North East Lincolnshire if anyone fancies a get together then.
I will keep the location private for now and will PM the co-ordinates to anyone interested.

As I said I am more than willing to setup another full blown meet for either December (cold) or again in Spring 2012.

My whole idea is to get FPV shown in a good light to those doubting BMFA clubs and not to have impromptu secret meetings all over the place as this will make us look like we are trying to hide something.

Let me know your thoughts

Which idea are you referring to Gordon the quick local one in August or another full blown one at Bardney?

OK anyone fancy meeting me at Bardney either weekend in the first half of September.
We won't make it a full blown event as I haven't cleared it officially with Bardney Club but if we only get a few of us like the last meet there won't be a problem.
I know and those that went last time know that Bardney club are very welcoming of us FPVer's. Ain't that right Gordon?
I might even have the SW ready by then and also the BE2c still needs it's maiden.
Let me know guys.
BTW Food and drink available on site!!
Cheers

I'll come Chris - remind me of the restrictions of the club though:

Insurance?
BMFA certification?

Steve,  assume being a member of FPVUK you have that insurance. IF not the Bardney club allow guests a couple of visits before insisting on insurance as so they should with a rather expensive looking factory next door.
BMFA certification I don't believe concerns FPVér as such BUT if you joined the club then obviously they would insist on either BMFA and or FPVUK insurance as they are BMFA affiliated.
"buddy leads" won't be a problem but if they insist I have a full set and Tx's to go with them.
I think I have a little respect at the club, enough for them to know I would not let just anyone I didn't know fly there.
Maybe we can get together at my place before that one evening and fly.

Yea I'd be up for that Chris, just let me know when you're back. I have BMFA "country member" insurance, but no A or B certificate as I didn't join a club.
