Hi there - I'm new here!
I would be interested but it's a bit far for me...
I am going to attempt my first fpv with my ap logo 14 tomorrow with a friend!!!
I normally fly a fully fitted out easystar with all the eagletree kit...
Sounds sufficiently remote though for good fpving..
Would be great to meet other fpv'ers.

Anyone else doing it around Hampshire?

Hi Guys,
Sorry it's been a while since I posted on this subject but I was awaiting response from the host club.
I received an e-mail this morning and they are happy to host the meeting. Obviously this will take a little planning and so I will start putting an outline together this week for approval.
First thing they mentioned is a Point of contact with FPVUK. Now I would be happy to do it but being a relative newcomer I don't think I could answer possible technical questions which may arise.
I think possibly the first thing to do would be to organise an event sub committee for want of a better descripton who would liase with all those wanting to attend and keep them informed of progress.
In the mean time any questions I can help with at this time I can be contacted on chris_johnson41@hotmail.com
Any comments or ideas would be welcome.
I will update further as I get any news.
Cheers
Chris

On what frequency?  I have a 7ch 5.8GHz VRx but I guess you mean 2.4GHz?  I don't have anything more than 4 channels on 2.4GHz.

Ok Guys,
Having spoken to a few people both within FPVUK.ORG and The Bardney Flyer Model Club I get the feeling that most of those interested in the meet prefers the weekend of the 21st/22nd of May 2011.

Accomodation wise there are many alternatives in that area. For the adventureous type there is a camping site in Bardney village which is only about 2 miles from the flying site. I do not know the rates but could easily find out if anyone is interested.

There are a few private Bed & Breakfasts also close to the flying site and I can personally vouch for the quality and warm welcome from them. The prices are very reasonable as well.

Alternatively there is a large rental villa complex within about 15-20 minutes of the site that may offer good rates if we were to book as a group.

Watering holes are a plenty. From quiet country pubs to very nice restaurants, most of which serve the famous Lincolnshire sausage and mash. If you haven't tried this, you haven't lived.

BFMC are happy for us to encompass the whole weekend and I'll guess we'll sort out flying times and frequencies etc on the day(s)

As a local lad, if anyone has any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Comments are welcome please.

Hi guys.
Latest updates on the Spring FPV meet.

I have spent a couple of days this week FPV flying at Bardney with The Chairman, Andy Gedney as Pilot in Charge.
I stumbled into a Fly-in day as well which was fortunate as 70+ plus people turned up and a lot were very interested in the Meet in May having had a look through my goggles.

I think we are set now for the 21st and 22nd of May.

I have added a couple of pages to their website advertising the day and this can be seen on the following link.
http://bardneyflyers.co.uk/#/fpv-meet-01/4545559414

Again, any questions let me know either by e-mail or through the forum here.
