Ran it up on my laptop but it crashes after a few seconds running in infinity scape (which is required in order to see the cockpit view).

I will try running on my main desktop. It is a bit of a pain if it will not run on laptop though since I play it through my big TV and use SimStick.

The FPV cockpit view is pretty new. With the flying wing you get quite a good experience. I think that the problems I had were down to my selection of model .. I went for the Pitts Special and this was crashing all the time. The funjet seems ok and the flying wing is great .. no cockpit and the Gaui is the same.

I'm not sure how useful this is for FPV training .. It all seemed a bit too easy to me, but then maybe I am just a great flyer  In reality it is probably good FPV training but will always be much easier than real life when you have £500 worth of stuff to crash.

You can customise your flying site to some extent, change ruggedness, depth of valleys and time of day. And you can also choose from 3 main types - highlands, desert and alps.

I just created my own site and it crashed Phoenix but after a restart all seems ok and I can fly around my deep valley alps scene.

Making the Beta available as a free upgrade is good but I think that the current state of the SW is most definitely Beta. If you crash into water the display driver crashes .. maybe not 100% Phoenix's fault.

I like the cockpit view from the helicopters, that seems to be very good training, although i could only fly for a couple of mins before it crashed.
