Twinstar takes to the skys over Essex.... with interference :(
« on: February 11, 2012, 10:47:12 PM »

So - took the TS to a local field this afternoon after lashing the FPV gear together.  Plan was to take it on a SAR mission for the downed Bixler, but the interference I am suffering put pay to that idea as I want to sort that out before I give it a go.

I am not sure if the interference is electrical or vibration.  It dissapears when I am at WOT or no throttle.  It is still running the brushed std setup at the moment, I want to replace that with brushless I think as the climb rate was a bit lack luster... any way, any ideas?

Looks a steady ship, its the brushed setup butchering the video. Shame it stopped the SAR mission

I've had the same Skywalker for FPV for two years now. It's had 6 new wings, 3 new canopies and 2 new fuselages.

This is the set up I had on mine, tho i ended up changing the motors for less powerful ones as it would always just go vertical on 3s! I never got past 1/4 throttle and it was a bit of a mare!  I plan to rebuild it on 2s to see if its better as I did enjoy flying it when I could keep it level.

Thats a DragonOSD on there.  Any of the numbers that were flashing were doing so because they had hit  preset alarm value, so the LOS distance, voltage and capacity used were all giving off alarms.  A lot of old lipos were used with the cold making them less than the poor performance they normally give :)
