My 2nd FPV, Goring Beach, West Sussex
« on: February 15, 2012, 08:50:47 PM »

Small | Large

Here is my second FPV with my EZ*2. Filmed with an 808 #16 which I'm quite pleased with (both image quality and button controls).

The day was blowing about 9 mph along the beach from east to west.
FPV landings are fun... not in the video but I over shot by loads!!!!  :)

Did you pop in the Sealane cafe to warm up after?

doh. school boy error. A cup of coffee and a slice of cake would have indeed been a cheeky end to a good afternoon. Alas, I have 2 young'uns in the house one being 4 months old. Any fun times away with my plane are just stolen moments before I return home for an earful & a generally devastated home.

on the upside... it forces me out for cheeky flights nice and early so the views of the sun coming up can be quite cool. :)

Looks very good! I liked the morning sun reflecting off the sea...  Roll on summer...
How was the approach and landing? Do you do that FPV or LOS?

Cheers,
Nick

The wind was coming from the direction of the large expanse of grass (down from the cafe) so my approach was hampered by the tree line behind me. It meant I had trouble dumping speed. It was my first FPV landing.. I thought it was quite smooth.. when I took the googles off I realised the plane was bloody miles away (100 feet)..

.. the plane landed right beside a ball a dog walker had just thrown. for a moment I half expected the dog to tear i my plane to pieces.

I've had the same Skywalker for FPV for two years now. It's had 6 new wings, 3 new canopies and 2 new fuselages.
