Which Sims do you use ?
« on: June 23, 2010, 10:28:05 PM »

Whats your favorite Sim, which is best suited for FPV ?

I personnally use Realfligh and Phoenix, find them very usefull for testing mixes more than anything now.

Shame you cant download your own graphic display of your own OSD on them too that would be pretty cool  8)

AerosimRC is good.  You can have an OSD on screen and you can build your own scenario from Google Earth images.

It has an Easystar and a Mikrokopter amongst other models which is pretty good.

Did you check this one out Ian?  I'm wondering which of the sims is best for realistic FPV.  You can do it in realflight (in artificial scenes obviously) but I don't know what the camera view angle equates to.  Pity you can't do it on the real photo scenes!

Any one tried "Tom Clancy's" H.A.W.X on PS3 or Xbox? The FPV in that is unbelievable, I’ll see if I can upload a sortie to YouTube.

My oldest plays it some times, I must admit the HUD display is quite impressive.

Just had go on my PS3 it has sat unused for 12 months but it's a good way to test the goggles, did you know that you can hook up your FPV goggles to it? ;D

I like RealFlight. You can turn up the speed of the physics engine and the planes get a bit twitchy and more realistic.
